Welcome back to planDisney, Karissa!
There's nothing I love more than traveling to Walt Disney World Resort with a group. Sure, those trips can be full of chaos, but they're also packed with so many laughs and memories that they always seem to stand out as some of my favorite visits. How exciting that you'll be bringing a whole group along to experience the excitement of
The World's Most Magical Celebration with you this summer!
Each Guest ages 3 and over will need to tap in individually to access Lightning Lanes during your visit. While it's possible for you to keep Disney MagicMobile passes for other Guests on your phone (sometimes I do this for my kids as a MagicBand backup), the easiest thing to do is have each member of your party use their own Disney MagicMobile pass, MagicBand, or Key to the World Card to tap at each checkpoint. Don't worry, though –– you'll still be able to book
Genie+ Lightning Lane access and Individual Lightning Lane purchases from a single phone if that works best for your group.
If you haven't heard much about them yet,
Disney MagicMobile passes are a great alternative to MagicBands and Key to the World cards, stored right in your smartphone's digital wallet. Since my phone is always with me, I love that this option gives me one less thing to keep track of during a busy vacation. And what's really great? Not only can you make Disney MagicMobile passes for yourself, but you can make them for other Guests on your Friends & Family list to use, even if they won't be using the
My Disney Experience mobile app during your trip. After creating their Disney MagicMobile pass in your My Disney Experience app, you'll have the option to text it directly to them so they can save the right to their device's own digital wallet –– no app needed!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Karissa. If you think of more planning questions as your trip approaches, I hope you'll visit us again –– we're always happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Amy
