Hiya, Eileen!
Welcome back to the planDisney Panel! Your wish is our command as we offer advice and support for preparing for your visit to the Disneyland Resort.
During a recent visit to the Disneyland Resort, some of my friends and I did just what you are asking about. A few of us had our tickets linked to each others’ accounts and worked out purchasing
individual Lightning Lane return times at the same time we were also using the
Disney Genie+ service to book
Lightning Lane return times. So yes, it is possible to make multiple transactions with our linked Disneyland Resort tickets on our separate accounts in
Disneyland mobile app.
In particular, since individual Lightning Lane purchases are decoupled from the Genie+ group of Lightning Lane attractions, booking those two types of experiences won’t interfere with each other. I would caution you to be aware of the available return times to ensure that they don’t overlap too much. For example, it might be challenging to book a return time to
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at the same time as a return time to the
Incredicoaster. It’s not impossible to experience both of those attractions within the same hour. But it would be more of a rush than I would prefer to walk between the extreme ends of the two theme parks in order to make it in time. But as long as you remain aware of the times and locations of return times, I’m sure you’ll work it out.
In the event of a potential conflict or even a change of plans, note that it is possible to cancel a Genie+ Lightning Lane reservation and plan on re-booking it at a later time. You may book a Lightning Lane return time for each available attraction up to one time each day of your visit. Be sure to keep an eye on the return times being offered for each attraction you wish to experience so that you can book those return times before they run out for the day.
Tony’s Tip: Popular attractions such as
Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! and
Space Mountain tend to book up faster than some other attractions. So watch for those in particular. If the return time you reserve is for much later in the day, don’t worry too much. You may book a return time for another attraction once you have used the return time for your current booking
or after waiting two hours. That’s right, you can have two or more outstanding Lighting Lane return time reservations at a time, depending on the reservation windows available for each attraction. If you book one of those later return times, I recommend setting a timer on your phone for two hours to remind you of when you are eligible to book another attraction. And for when using a Lightning Lane return time marks your eligibility to book another Lightning Lane, you may even make that new booking after you scan into the Lightning Lane queue and are still in that queue!
I love how Genie+ makes my Disneyland Resort wishes come true. I’m sure you and your friend will love it too!
Have a magical trip, Eileen!
