Hi Rebecca! Welcome to planDisney.
Oh Boy! In just a few short days the whole gang will be immersed in
The World's Most Magical Celebration 50 yEARS in the making. Create a group scavenger hunt looking for the golden
Disney Fab 50 Character Collection statues. They make fun selfie backgrounds to share with family and on social media. Look for Nemo tucked to the right of the
Tree of Life at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
Being married to an adrenaline thrill-riding junkie, I totally get your question! First, make sure everyone in your party is linked together in the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. To verify, click on the three horizontal lines in the bottom right-hand corner and scroll down to "My Profile." Click on "Family & Friends List." If anyone is missing, click on "Add a Guest" and follow the prompts. Now, you should be all set up to help manage the group's
Disney Genie+ day.
Friendly reminder, Disney Genie+ will be available for purchase after midnight on the day of your reserved theme park visit.
Lightning Lane selections will open at 7:00 AM. I highly suggest having your smartphone open and ready to go. Under "My Genie Day," click on "Tip Board" to display a list of options. When you click on your selections, a list of linked eligible members of your party will be displayed. You can select those in your party wishing to enjoy attractions. Protip, if your selection is more than two hours out, once you enter the theme park, you will be allowed to make a second Lightning Lane selection.
In addition,
Individual Lightning Lanes can be purchased a la carte for those most coveted attractions. If you are a
Disney Resorts Collection guest, Guest of Shades of Green®, or Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel guest, you can make your first Individual Lightning Lane selection at 7:00 AM. All other guests will have those available at the park opening.
No matter which theme park you visit, bring the whole group back together when the sun goes down and Disney icons come to shimmering EARidescent life during
Beacons of Magic. My favorite is
Spaceship Earth at
EPCOT.
Keeping it Magical,
Cindy
