Disney Genie+ service helps Guests get more out of their day by allowing them to reserve
Lightning Lane access to over 40 rides and attractions. When
purchasing theme park tickets, Guests can choose tickets that include the Disney Genie+ option. If you already have your admission tickets and would like to add Disney Genie+ service, there are basically two ways to do this.
First, try
modifying your tickets to add Disney Genie+. In the
My Disney Experience mobile app, use the menu button in the lower right corner to select "Tickets and Passes". Choose the ticket you would like to modify and select "Change Ticket". You can also do this on the
My Disney Experience website. You'll find your linked tickets under "My Plans". When modifying a multi-day ticket to add Disney Genie+ service, it will be added for all admission days on the ticket. If you do not see the option to modify your ticket, don't worry! I have quite a few tickets linked to my account, and none of them have the option to modify. In this case, you can add Disney Genie+ on a daily basis each day you would like to use the service.
To purchase Disney Genie+ for same-day use, look for the purple banner on the home screen of the My Disney Experience app and select "Get Disney Genie+ for Today". If you don't see it on the home screen, use the menu button in the lower right corner to select “My Genie Day” and scroll down a bit. It will only take a few moments to select your party and complete your purchase. Because Guests may reserve their first Lightning Lane attraction beginning at 7:00 am the day of their visit, I recommend making your purchase a few minutes prior.
Depending on my plans for the day, I actually prefer being able to choose whether or not to purchase Disney Genie+ service each day. I have found that I don't necessarily need it for all days of my trip.
