What is Genie plus and what does it do?

    Hello,

Thank you for visiting planDisney Kathlyn! We are glad you stopped by with this question. I can definitely help you figure out how to plan your day for your visit.

The Walt Disney World Resort in your home state of Florida is my favorite vacation destination. When I visit, it is usually a whole big to do and I visit for around 3 to 5 days. So planning is very important. Disney has special tools for planning out your days ahead of your visit. Genie+ used to be the name of the planning tool for the attractions you schedule before your arrival. It has been replaced by Lightning Lane Multi Pass (LLMP). They are very similar in their nature of pre-planning your day. This is an additional service you can purchase ahead of your visit. LLMP will allow you to choose up to three multipass experiences ahead of your theme park visit. Once you are in the parks and you enjoy that first multi pass experience, you will be able to make an additional selection. You’ll always want to try and keep three multi pass experiences scheduled. Each time one drops off you will use your My Disney Experience App to try and locate another for later in the day. These experiences are subject to availability.

Another great feature of LLMP is you will be able to receive digital downloads from select attractions throughout your day. These will be automatically captured using the Disney Photo Pass service and will appear inside of your My Disney Experience App. You will have access to download these and keep them in your phone album or via the website on your computer. If you are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, then you will be able to purchase LLMP up to seven days in advance. All other guests will be able to purchase their passes up to three days in advance of their visit. A great tip I can offer is after you are planning these multi pass experiences, take a look at the map around your attraction. You will have a window of time to visit these multi pass experiences, therefore giving you time to enjoy one of the attractions that may not have as long as a wait. This gives you an opportunity to really pack your day full of fun. If you have three multi passes and go on at least one other attraction near them, that is six attractions in one day. And to be honest that is a great day at any of the parks. If you are not huge on attractions, then you can also grab a snack at each one of those multipass experiences. And let me tell you something three snacks in a day is also a great day at a Disney park.

I hope this information was helpful, and if you have any questions please visit us again at planDisney.com.
