With genie+ is there a limit to how many rides you can use lighting lane on? Like you can use it to pass 10 rides if its available. I know the likely you want use 10 but just making sure there is no limit.

    Hi Brandi!

Ka-chow and welcome to planDisney!  Like Lightning McQueen, it sounds like you're ready to be faster than fast and quicker than quick to make the most of your Lightning Lanes.  Time to focus racers - let's rev those engines and get ready to go!

Lightning Lane entrances allow guests to speed past the line and gain faster access to rides and attractions.  You can access Lightning Lane selections by purchasing the Disney Genie+ service.  This is available to buy once the clock strikes midnight each day and you can start making your first Lightning Lane selections at 7:00 AM.  Every two hours after the park opens or after each Lightning Lane is redeemed, you can make another selection. Brandi, you'll be happy to know that there is no limit to how many rides you can use Lightning Lane entrances for during your visit!

In my own experiences, I've had days where we've been able to use only 3-4 Lightning Lanes, and then one epic day where I was able to use 14 Lightning Lanes at Magic Kingdom Park - a personal record!  I think you're wise to go in with reasonable expectations as a lot of variables can determine how many Lightning Lane entrances you can use.  I've typically found that I can reserve more Lightning Lane entrances in Magic Kingdom Park than any others simply because there are more rides and attractions that have the service available there.  My best advice is to start by reserving your must-do rides and attractions first so you don't risk missing those later in the day.  You'll also want to be ready to start reserving at 7:00 AM so you can hopefully grab an earlier return time for that first Lightning Lane.  In addition to Lightning Lanes, the parks also offer Individual Lightning Lanes and Virtual Queues to help navigate a busy day in the parks. Any time that you can save waiting in line, whether for three rides or thirteen, means more time for family and fun on your vacation - and that always makes Disney Genie+ service worth it in my opinion!

Speaking of saving time in the parks, did you know that you can do more with your My Disney Experience Mobile App than just reserve Lightning Lanes?  I have become a big fan of Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering on recent trips.  It's a great timesaver to be able to place my order earlier in the day and select an available return time that works with my schedule.  Then, I can bypass the line again, and proceed to pick up my food at the counter once I receive a notification that my order is ready.

Brandi, whether you're running through Andy's backyard on Slinky Dog Dash or seeking out the elusive Yeti on Expedition Everest, I hope you have a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World Resort.  Please stop by to see us again real soon if you have any other vacation planning questions!
