Can you get Genie+ with the 4-Day, 4-Park Magic Ticket? And do you have to enter the park in order to get Genie+ since reservations are not required?

    Hey there, Joshua!

Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with this great question.

The 4-Day, 4-Park Magic Ticket is a fantastic value for guests visiting Walt Disney World Resort this summer. You'll get access to one park per day, subject to blockout dates, and can experience the magic without the need for theme park reservations during your visit. Keep in mind that tickets expire 7 days from initial use or on September 29 (whichever occurs first), so you'll want to plan time to take full advantage of this special offer.

I see that you are hoping to visit on July 5, which is just after the first blockout period, so your plans are already shaping up for a magical visit. I'm happy to share that you can certainly purchase Disney Genie+ Service as a ticket add-on with this offer. Best of all, you can decide whether to purchase every day or a la carte. We love adding Genie+ to our Magic Kingdom Park days to really maximize the number of attractions we can experience in a single day, but we don't always purchase it when visiting other parks. The choice is up to you!

I reached out to a Cast Member regarding the logistics of reserving Lightning Lane return times since this ticket doesn't require theme park reservations. They let me know that as long as your tickets are linked to your My Disney Experience App, the system will recognize your ticket type and allow you to begin making Lightning Lane selections, purchase Individual Lighting Lanes, and join Virtual Queues for your preferred park.

If you're like me and want to start your vacation walking down Main Street, U.S.A in Magic Kingdom Park, simply begin making your Genie+ Lightning Lane selections at 7 a.m. on the day of your visit. We usually like to join the Virtual Queue for TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise at 7 a.m. on the dot, and then immediately reserve Space Mountain as our first Lightning Lane selection of the day. Upon arrival, we'll head to Fantasyland to ride our favorite attractions via standby line and then proceed toward Tomorrowland when our first return window begins. This helps us enjoy a good number of attractions before the late-morning crowds arrive.

In this example, Magic Kingdom Park would no longer be available when it's time to start your second day of admission. However, you'll have the option to reserve Genie+ selections or join Virtual Queues at the remaining parks, one per day, until you've visited all four parks.

I hope this was helpful Joshua. If we can answer any additional questions please don't hesitate to come back and let us know.

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
