Hi, are general park guests able to see the Star Wars Shadows of Memory projection show before the park closes on Star Wars nites? Or can you only see the projection show on those nights if you're attending the Star Wars nite event?

Bright suns, Milinda, and welcome to planDisney! Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga is an out-of-this-world experience, blending stunning projections with immersive storytelling. I’m thrilled it’s on your radar! But let's talk about timing.

Milinda, Disneyland closes early on dates when there is an after-dark event like Star Wars Nite. A wristband is required to remain in the park after 8 p.m. These are distributed to Guests with special event tickets upon checking in. Cast Members will request that Guests show their wristband in all areas of the park after regular park hours end. Since the first Shadows of Memory show isn't scheduled until 9 p.m. on Star Wars Nite, you wouldn't be able to see it unless you have a special event ticket.

At the time of writing this, there are still a limited number of Star Wars Nite tickets available. While Shadows of Memory is a highlight, the entire evening is packed with galactic fun, including Character sightings, photo opportunities, themed food options, and other entertainment. One of my favorite moments is seeing everyone activate and raise their lightsabers at the Gathering of the Resistance with Rey. You can also learn how to use a lightsaber from an elite instructor and join a parade alongside other costumed fans.

Of course, even during a regular park day, there are plenty of Star Wars experiences to be had. It's Season of the Force through May 11, so go on a high-speed adventure across the galaxy on Hyperspace Mountain and search for Luke Skywalker in Batuu. Grab a drink that comes with a lightsaber swizzle stick and decide between a red or blue churro. When it's not a special event night, you can certainly plan to watch Shadows of Memory. And if you visit on a day with fireworks, you can enjoy Fire of the Rising Moons, too.

Check the Hours & Events Calendar to view the entertainment schedules for the date of your visit. You can also look through the Foodie Guide on the Disney Parks Blog – it highlights limited-time food and beverage options that are sure to make your taste buds go into hyperdrive.

Milinda, may your visit be filled with magic, happy memories, and galactic adventures. Please let us know if you have any other questions. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!

May the Force be with you,
