I have general admission to Disney California Adventure & tickets to the OogieBoogieBash on the same day, are we allowed to wear our costumes early from the time we enter the park at 8am/rope drop?We plan to be there all day.

Hi there, Nayely! Welcome to planDisney.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by with your question for us. I’m delighted to see you’ll be visiting during Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort. And how spooktacular that you are heading to the Oogie Boogie Bash as well! You’re bound to have some ghoulish good times during this fun bewitching season.

Since you’ll be enjoying Disney California Adventure Park during the day prior to Oogie Boogie Bash, you likely have a cool costume you plan to wear! One of my favorite parts of Oogie Boogie Bash is seeing everyone’s creative outfits. According to the Disneyland Resort Dress Code Guidelines, Guests over the age of 14 may not wear costumes for the theme parks and may result in refusal of admittance or ejection. However, special events such as Oogie Boogie Bash allow Guests to wear costumes during the festivity. Since those without a valid park admission during the day can begin entering Disney California Adventure Park, 3 PM is a good time to start donning your costumes. If you need, you can stash your costumes in a locker, so you don’t have to carry that around the park before Oogie Boogie Bash.

My daughter and I recently attended Oogie Boogie Bash and by 3:30 PM, after the mix-in at 3 PM, we saw plenty of Guests wearing their creative Halloween costumes. Since you’ll be inside the park already, you will not need to exit to line up for your special event wristband. There’s a wristband pickup area located between the Avenger Campus and Cars Land. You can conveniently head there around 3 PM, and a Cast Member will scan your Oogie Boogie Bash ticket for your wristband and treat bag.

I hope this information is helpful for you. Please feel free to visit us on planDisney again if you have more trip-planning questions.

    Sending you pixie dust,
    Kiki
