    what is Gaydays

    Hi Emily! This is a term that has evolved over years and actually started in Disneyland in the late 70's. Many private companies and organizations rent out the theme parks for their private use and Disney does not discriminate on any basis. It started with private functions and since the mid 90's you now will find in late May and early June several days set aside by groups for celebrations in the Walt Disney World parks. This week long celebration can attract as many as 150,000 persons to the Orlando area. They publish a schedule of which parks they will be using and although these parks continue to be open to all guests they will also be the most crowded on those days. The following is the 2012 schedule for Walt Disney World parks:
    Thursday, May 31: Animal Kingdom
    Friday, June 1: Hollywood Studios
    Saturday, June 2: Magic Kingdom
    Sunday, June 3: Epcot
