Hi! We gave our girls a trip to Disney for Christmas, first time for the 6 year old and second time for the oldest! We are all extremely excited! When paying down trip balance, I know a GC can be used, but what about a Disney merch credit? Thanks

    Hi Angela!

A Disney trip for Christmas sounds like the best present ever! I sure hope Santa leaves one under our tree this year!

I, too, have used a Disney gift card to pay for my vacation package. I was unsure about the merchandise credit though, so I called and spoke to a Cast Member. She informed me the only way to pay for your trip balance would be to use a Disney gift card, Disney Visa Rewards, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover cards.

You can only use merchandise credits on actual merchandise. However one thing I like to do is grab some souvenirs at the Disney Store prior to our vacations and leave "Tinker Bell gifts" under my daughters' pillows while we are Walt Disney World. They love the surprises and love the notes from Tinker Bell and her pixie friends.

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask! I wish your family the most magical vacation ever!
