We have a gathering of 10 and virtually every reservation we have made has told us we must split into two tables. What is the realistic chance that we can all sit together at one table? This must happen often, we came together we want to eat together.

Hi Charles!  I understand you wanting the group to be together when dining.  When our family came for reunions we were a total of 16 and it was rare, if ever, that we had one table.

If we did get one table we were all so spread out that we finally realized it didn't matter if we were at one table or four since our conversation was with only those that were close to us.  To avoid people from always gravitating to the same friends or family we devised a plan where we would check in at the podium, find out the table number and configuration and then draw names for each table. Infants would stay with their parents but beyond that we would all do the mix up and it ended up a great way for us to visit and talk with those adults and kids we might not have had a chance to enjoy.

Most Disney restaurants don't have the room for large party tables unless it is for a group that might have contracted for a special party room.  We honestly never minded the split tables and found that the tables were always close or next to each other so it was not an inconvenience.
