Hiya Traci - welcome to
planDisney!
Eating is always an important part of my visits to the
Walt Disney World Resort, so I understand why you'd want to work out a plan now in advance of your trip! Even though this is more of a quantity than ingredient restriction, I still recommend contacting the
Special Diets Team via
email to discuss what accommodations you may need during your visit.
Cast Members at the restaurant or the Special Diets Team may be able to help you understand your options at
all-you-care-to-enjoy dining locations. Although a bit different, I do know that the chefs at buffet dining locations are able to provide Guests with special meals to meet their specific ingredient needs. They are provided with a single specialized meal instead of using the buffet. In my experience, these Guests dining with us were charged the standard adult buffet price for their special meal. Similarly, when I've dined with friends who've asked if their kids still have to pay at buffet locations "even if they will only eat one banana" the answer is always yes. Your mileage may vary, and that's why I think starting a conversation with the Special Diets Team might be a good way to learn about your options.
Another good option for eating less is to order from the Kid's Menus at Table Service restaurants. At some locations, you may also be able to order smaller portions of certain regular menu items - this varies and isn't always an option, but it never hurts to ask your server!
I hope this information was helpful -
stop by with more questions any time, Traci!
