Hi; is Gaston still a meet and greet character? I want to surprise my 17 year old daughter at our upcoming trip in mid May! Thanks!

Hi there, Kelly! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for trusting us with your Disney vacation planning questions. I'm very happy that I get to help you out today!

Sadly, everyone's favorite egocentric villain hasn't returned for meet & greets at Magic Kingdom Park on a daily basis just yet. He could be found greeting Guests and annoying Belle in the process during Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in 2022, so I expect him to come back for the party this year too! Unfortunately, since you'll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in May, you won't be here in time for the Halloween festivities.

Kelly, even though Gaston isn't available for meet & greets yet, I do suggest keeping an eye out for any news from the Disney Parks Blog. Tons of meet & greets have been returning gradually since the Theme Parks reopened back in 2020, so he might come back before you know it! In any case, you'll be able to check all available meet & greets from the My Disney Experience mobile app at all times. You just need to click on the pin icon at the bottom of the screen, select the arrow at the top of the screen, and click on Characters. Now, click on Show List, and that's it! You should be able to see all characters and their specific locations from here.

I truly hope your vacation is as magical as you intend it to be, Kelly. If you have any other questions for us, please don't hesitate to come back here so we may assist you further! Remember that we're always available and more than happy to help. Have a magical day!

    Warm hugs,
