Can gas golf carts be used at fort wilderness campground.

    Hi Joey!

Staying at the Fort Wilderness Resort during your WAlt Disney World vacation is a perfect way to add extra magic to your stay. There are so many things to do and see in this resort that you can easily spend a day just exploring.

Private golf carts are allowed in the resort and some guests will bring gas carts. They must adhere to the rules that are expected of all guests when either renting a cart from Disney or bringing your own. The carts that are brought in by the guests must not exceed 20mph and be equipped with proper tail and head lights. ATV's, Off Road Vehicles, and Utility or Construction carts are not allowed....they must be true golf carts.

Once at the resort please review the golf cart rules and regulations sheet that will be a part of your welcome packet. It reminds guests that children are not allowed to operate a cart, sit in a lap of a driver, or assist in driving the cart in any way. General safety rules include staying on the roadways and following the Florida transportation rules and regulations.

Enjoy bringing your cart to the Fort. We also have a battery operated one that we enjoy bringing since we stay for several months at a time. Renting for us would be costly.
