Hello! I will be at the GartnerHR conference on 10/29 and was hoping to by a twilight ticket to the magic kingdom in WDW. However, it looks like the park closes at 6pm. Does this mean I could only go to the park from 5-6pm? Why does it close at 6pm?

    Howdy, Martina!

Thank you for visiting planDisney! I have always wanted to attend a conference at Walt Disney World Resort. I mean what better environment to learn and get some work done? There's nothing quite like pixie dust to get the creative juices flowing.

I checked the Magic Kingdom Park calendar and Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is taking place on October 29, 2024. This is a special ticketed event meaning that only Guests with tickets to the party are allowed that evening and the park closes to all other Guests at 6:00 PM. There is not a party on 10/28 or 10/30, so perhaps you would be able to purchase the Twilight Ticket for one of those days instead to be able to maximize your park time.

Autumn at Walt Disney World Resort is my favorite time to visit. Along with Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you'll also find the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. If you're looking for a great way to stretch your legs after a day of conferences, find some delicious eats, listen to some music and maybe catch an attraction or two--this would be the prime spot. Global marketplaces offer culinary bites and drinks from around the world while the Eat to the Beat Concert Series offers quality tunes. I love it so much, that I print off the menus ahead and highlight which places I for sure want to stop at before I am full!

Have a wonderful conference, Martina! I sure hope you have plenty of time to visit a park or two as well. If you have any other questions about planning your trip, please let us know.

    Magical Wishes,

    Lauren
