Hi Alexandra,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! My daughter and I shared
afternoon tea at the Garden View Tea Room on my birthday trip last year, and not only was the tea delicious from start to finish, but we had such a lovely time and made special memories. I’m so glad to hear you’ll be enjoying this experience on your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World!
The Cast Members who served our tea were absolutely fabulous, and very accommodating, so I am pretty confident that they will be able to provide a spot of coffee for your
java fan. I do encourage your family member to try a spot of tea – there’s a huge selection, and I loved that they were able to make recommendations based on my tastes and tea preferences. My daughter was trying to branch out, but ultimately didn’t care for her tea selection, and the servers were happy to bring her a different drink. I have a good feeling this same pixie dust applies to coffee drinkers, so talk to your server when you are seated. Whether you have coffee or tea in your teacup, don’t forget to raise your pinkies and say chEARs as you sip and taste each delectable course (I loved it all, but especially the scones, which were seriously drool-worthy).
I hope you have a wonderful experience at
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Whether you’re exploring that gorgeous lobby (take a deep breath: it smells amazing), exploring the beautiful grounds, or doing a little shopping (don’t miss the beautiful soaps and divine-smelling bath products at Basin White on the second level), I think you’ll love the resort’s Victorian elegance.
Have a lovely time at tea, and a magical vacation!
Robyn
