Do the garden view 5th sleeper rooms at Port Orleans Riverside allow 5 people? The website lists 4 adults as the occupancy but all the other rooms with the 5th sleeper allow 5. Will these rooms allow 3 adults and 2 children?

Hi Heather! Your question makes my heart so happy! I absolutely love Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside! It's so beautiful!!!

This is a great question! There are two different Garden View room types at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. The "Garden View" sleeps up to four total but the "Garden View - 5th Sleeper" has two queen beds and a child-size pull-down bed. The "Garden View - 5th Sleeper" will be a perfect fit for your traveling party since you have three adults and 2 children.

When we stayed in a Resort hotel room with a child-size pull-down bed, our biggest challenge was deciding which kiddo would sleep on the child-size pull-down bed first. We put their names in one of our Mickey Ear hats, drew a name and that kiddo slept on it the first night.  Then, they alternated each night after that. It was perfect and they loved it!

When you are making your reservation, be sure to select "Garden View - 5th Sleeper." Don't be concerned though. If you accidentally select "Garden View," the system will let you know the room type doesn't accommodate your traveling party.

I couldn't be more excited for you. Not only will you be visiting Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, but you will be there at a great time of year! The pools are fantastic and you might want to treat yourself to a horse-drawn carriage ride.

You are also a short water taxi ride away from Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter and Disney Springs.

Thanks so much for sharing your question with the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Please let me know if you have any other questions as you plan your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
