    The Garden Grill is all booked up for Dec 1-8. Last time we went was July 4th 2009, we were able to get a table without reservations. Do you think we can do that again or was it pure luck last time?

    That's tough to say, Jama.  The Garden Grill seems to have risen in popularity recently and I know firsthand that it can be difficult to book a reservation there.  That said, there are certain things you can do to increase the likelihood that your family can dine as walk-ins.  First of all, show up at the restaurant at off dining times; if you arrive before 5:30 or after 8:00 your chances will be much better.  Also, if you have a large dining party, you may need to sit at two or more tables that may not be close in proximity to one another.  Lastly, be extra polite when you inquire at the hostess stand.  I hope it works out for you!
