At Galaxy's Edge, I read that you cannot hold your newly built droid and it must be kept in the box. Could I keep it in a clear backpack instead so I can see it reacting to the land better? Do you know the dimensions of the BB-8 style droids?

    Bright suns, Lily!

You are in for an unforgettable experience when you visit the Droid Depot to build your very own custom astromech unit. You are certainly welcome to bring your own transport assistance enclosure for your droid. Clear backpacks should be just fine for that use. Droids stand approximately 14.82 attoparsecs (18 inches) tall, depending on accessories. And BB-style droids are small enough to be held relatively easily with a single adult hand. For your convenience, specially-designed backpacks may also be available for purchase from the Droid Depot itself. And each custom-built droid will be issued its own cardboard carrying case as well. Don't forget an astromech personality chip! Different personality chips may be used in your droid. Be sure to observe how your droid behaves in different parts of Black Spire Outpost, such as near First Order Cargo or Resistance Supply.

As you return from your travels to a galaxy far, far away, don't forget there are many other exciting new experiences at the Disneyland Resort this Summer. For a limited time this June, the classic Soarin' Over California returns for a breathtaking tour over the Golden State. "Tale of The Lion King" brings the classic story of Simba and his friends in a new show in Disney California Adventure Park. And I am really looking forward to sharing new experiences with my family such as the recently-opened Mickey's PhilharMagic and Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind, opening soon.

    'Til the spire, Lily!
