Is Galaxy's Edge and Magic Kingdom possible to do in one day? My wife and I were going to head to Galaxy's Edge first thing then head over to the Magic Kingdom as soon as we are done checking out the Star Wars environment. Is this possible? Thanks!

Hi, AJ!  Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!

I love the flexibility that Park Hopper tickets provide when planning your Walt Disney World Resort itinerary.  Adding the Park Hopper option to your theme park ticket allows you to visit more than one park per day, so it's possible to begin your morning in a galaxy far, far away and spend your evening in the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy.  Now that all-day Park Hopper access is returning to Walt Disney World Resort on January 9, 2024, it's even easier to split your day between two parks.

With so much to see and do at the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, it's impossible to do it all in one day.  That being said, I think it's totally doable for you and your wife to visit Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios in the morning, then head over for some Magic Kingdom Park fun later in the day.  Just manage your expectations and plan a few must-do experiences in each park.  You may not be able to do it all, but I think you'll have a blast and make lots of magical memories.

To make the most of your time, I would recommend purchasing the Disney Genie+ service.  The Disney Genie+ service can be purchased on the day of your park visit using your My Disney Experience mobile app.  With your purchase of the Disney Genie+ service, you'll be able to skip the standby queue and access some of your favorite attractions using the Lightning Lane entrances.  This is a great way to save some valuable time when you're trying to fit a lot into one theme park day.

It is worth mentioning that Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is not currently included in your Disney Genie+ purchase.  If you wish to skip the standby line for this attraction, you will need to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane.  This epic attraction is a must-do for any Star Wars fan and wait times for this ride do tend to be lengthy.  I would suggest either purchasing the Individual Lightning Lane or arriving at the park early and heading straight to Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at rope drop.

AJ, helping the Resistance defeat the First Order in the morning and ending the evening with a performance of Happily Ever After sure sounds like the perfect Walt Disney World Resort day to me.  May the Force and the magic be with you!
