Hi Nicole, and welcome to planDisney!
I'm so glad you popped in to ask this great question. I know it can be hard to navigate all the protocols we're all trying to follow these days to keep ourselves and others healthy and safe. So...let's talk about those magical face coverings we're all sporting when we visit the Walt Disney World Resort!
You're right that
Disney's current mask policy does say that neck gaiters aren't permitted. The policy doesn't address gaiters with ear loops, but I know Cast Members are instructed to strictly adhere to the policies when admitting Guests, so I'd worry that your neck gaiters wouldn't be allowed. You could bring them along and ask a Cast Member when you arrive at the entrance, but I'd be sure to have some regular face masks on hand for your kids to wear instead.
Nicole, here's an idea that might help your Mouseketeers with mask wearing. Have them take a look at some of the great designs available on the
shopDisney website and tell them they can have one (or more) when you get to Walt Disney World! Many of the designs you see there are available in the Theme Parks and Resort hotel shops too, so they can look forward to getting a face covering they chose all on their own. And I've found that my Disney face masks cover my nose and chin without slipping, so you may have fewer problems with your younglings being able to keep them in place.
While you're finishing up your plans, have you had a chance to check out Disney's handy
guide for parents of preschoolers and little ones? It's full of great ideas on which attractions are best for the youngest Guests and super fun activities to keep them happy and busy throughout your vacation!
I hope this "covers" all you need to know about face coverings, Nicole! Have a magical vacation with your little ones, and please come see us again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
