FWC's here we come! Budget can't really stretch to golf cart, husband nervous about using outside company. Can we rent Surrey Bikes for our stay (dd's 5,8 can rest then!)? Thinking loop 2100 better for location but maybe a newer/remote cabin is better?

Hi Nicola! We are great Fort Wilderness return guests. We have stayed in the cabins many times and I will agree that I would recommend Loop 2100 for the cabins. All of the cabins were built at the same time and some have had some refurbishment but basically you will find all the same in all the loops. We love the location of the 2100 loop for many reasons. First it is a small loop so your traffic is less then some of the other loops. You can easily walk to the bus stop or to the Trading Post as there are sidewalks that will connect you. It is still a bit of a walk all the way to the marina and Pioneer Hall so would recommend the internal bus for that location.

Some of the loops back up to the RV loop. This is not a negative but a positive as you are also very close to one of the bath houses. There you will find laundry facilities if you find you need to do some laundry during the trip. It is less expensive to use them then to send the laundry out using the Disney service.

I understand that the golf carts are a bit expensive. It is something we always try to budget for as they are quite fun and makes getting around so easy. Unfortunately, you will not be able to rent the surrey bikes at Fort Wilderness. You might see them now and then but they are actually from the Wilderness Lodge and only rented at that location for use during the day time hours. If you have further questions about this great resort, Fort Wilderness, let me know and I will be glad to assist you! Heading down there on Monday!
