Between FW Cabins & SS Treehouse, which would you recommend and why? We've only stayed at the cabins & love them! Just thinking about trying something new. Our trip will be in January 2014 to run the 1/2 Marathon. Thanks!

    Hi Michele,

Do book a Treehouse Villa at Disney's Saratoga Springs and Spa. My family stayed here for a runDisney event earlier this year and we felt as thought we were in an enchanting river retreat rather than just minutes away from the world's most popular theme park.

Roomier and more updated than the Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, these elevated enclaves are one of my top choices for places to stay on Walt Disney World property. Here you can catch a boat to Downtown Disney, cook sausage and bacon in the full kitchen before the race, and enjoy the fabulous shower in the master bath after you run. Plus trying new adventures at WDW is part of the fun! Perhaps the one drawback to the Treehouses is you need to take a bus or drive to reach the main building the Carriage House. Of course, you would also have this same logistical issue at the FW Cabins.

Wishing you a personal best time for your run and a new resort for fun during your January visit!
