At this time, there has not been an announcement about the return of package delivery from shops at the theme parks to the
Disney Resorts Collection Hotels. I would recommend following along with the
Disney Parks Blog for any news and updates. With the
Disney Dining Plan returning,
Theme Park Reservations being removed for date-based tickets, and
park hopping back to any time of day, I have hope that this fan-favorite perk will return to the
Walt Disney World Resort as well. It has already returned to the
Disneyland Resort, so my fingers are crossed that it's back on the East Coast soon!
It's become a bit of a tradition to go to
Disney Springs on my arrival day. I of course make a reservation at a restaurant, but I also make sure to visit
Disney's Days of Christmas and the
World of Disney stores. While these two shops don't have every single souvenir and piece of merchandise available across the resort, they have
a lot. And they're not the only stores in this dining and shopping district that do! So I do a little souvenir shopping and then keep my goodies in my room so I don't have to carry them around the parks. Also, when I'm in a
merchandise location in a theme park (a common occurrence for me), if I see a piece of merchandise that I want that has a lot in stock and doesn't seem to be a limited edition, I will make a note of it and purchase it right before I leave the park that evening. My general rule of thumb is that if I see something I want, I should buy it because I don't know if it'll be there later. But once again, if there's a lot and I won't be too terribly heartbroken if it's not there later, I wait. There's also the option to
rent a locker at the theme parks too. This way, you can purchase what you want and then leave it in one of the lockers. Just make sure to note the dimensions of the lockers to ensure the items you want will fit.
