What is fun to do for new years eve in disney. We will have a 5 year old with us.

    Hi Brooke!

New Year's Eve is very crowded in all of the parks.  Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios all put on amazing fireworks displays at midnight.  If you are thinking of seeing them at Magic Kingdom, I suggest you get there early in the day and stick around until midnight.  Magic Kingdom usually fills to capacity.  When this happens, arriving Guests are not allowed in the park.

Personally, I think Epcot would be better.  It has a lot more elbow room, and I think it would be more comfortable for you and your family.

If you don't like crowds you can always see Magic Kingdom's fireworks from the beaches of the Polynesian and The Grand Floridian.  You can also book a great dinner at Narcoossee's and California Grill and watch the fireworks from there.  If you do decide to do this, please reserve as soon as possible.  Restaurants book very quickly for this holiday.

Hope this helps!  Have a magical vacation!

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
