Howdy Harlon!
I reckon I can tell ya 'bout my ridin' the trails to
Disney's Wilderness Lodge and how I had the horse sense to have me some fancy vittles and fun at
Whispering Canyon Cafe. The minute I strode up them steps to that purdy place to ask that pardner what time's chow on, I knew I was in for a hootin' and a holleriin' good time.
Harlon, I recently enjoyed a stay at
Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge and on my last day I ate at Whispering Canyon Cafe for dinner. I can tell you I pretty much smiled through the whole meal. The food was delicious, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere was high-energy fun. There was lots of playful and good-natured hijinks going about between the Cast Member waitstaff and their table Guests. Young Guests at tables were engaged and entertained. My favorite moment was when Cast Members led the kids in a stick horse race parade around the restaurant as music played and all the Guests cheered them on.
I can also share that the food experience was fantastic. I ordered the Braised Pork Shank, and it was so tender and flavorful. After dinner, Chef Brad was walking among the tables greeting Guests, and I took the opportunity to rave about the wonderful meal. He mentioned that my selection was a recent addition to the menu.
As Whispering Canyon Cafe sits just off the main lobby Disney's Wilderness Lodge, it is steps away from all there is to enjoy in the magnificently themed space that captures the grandeur of the Pacific Northwest.
Happy trails, and enjoy your Disney!
