full time single dad, 1st trip 3/12-3/17, dd age 11, ds age 6. #1 suggestions on how to ride even # rides? (ie two per car). #2 im overwhelmed, where 2 start?

    Hi Christian!

I am a single Dad like you are and I have found out that Walt Disney World is a great place to take your children as a single parent. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, you can utilize Disney Transportation to get from your Resort to the Parks. Disney Transportation is free and easy to use.

As far as riding rides with your two children, a majority of the rides in Walt Disney World have bench style seating and can accommodate and adult and two children. For example, you can easily fit an adult and two small children on Peter Pan or the Doom Buggies in Haunted Mansion. For the rides that have individual seating, like the roller coasters, you could have your two children sit in front of you and then you sit directly behind them in the same ride vehicle or in the vehicle behind them. You can always let the Cast Member, who is running the ride, know that you are a Single Parent and that you want to be seated as close to your children as possible on the ride. Cast Members are very accommodating to these kind of requests.  There are also a lot of family restrooms in the Parks where you all can go in together to avoid being separated when using the facilities. Please let me know if you have any more single parent questions!

I hope that you have a magical trip with your two children at Walt Disney World!
