Hiya Nell,
Welcome back to planDisney! I see you and my magical pal Melanie have already begun chatting about your upcoming vacation. I’m so glad she shared that tip about the
water park benefit! Who doesn’t love two free days at the water parks?
Speaking of good deals, let’s chat about the dining plans. During my recent trip, we took advantage of the Disney Dining Plan and had so much fun trying all the snacks we don’t normally try (my new favorite is the
Cookie Dough Brownie Sandwich at Animal Kingdom, and I hope it is still there when you visit because it is worth the use of a snack credit and big enough to share)! In the past, Nell, yes Guests could exchange their credits for different meals. This was perfect if you had leftover credits and wanted more flexibility with using them. Unfortunately, since the
dining plans returned in 2024, this particular feature has not returned. Your quick service meals can only be used for quick service, snacks for snacks, and table service credits for table service meals.
I hope this was helpful, Nell. Before I let you go, did you know you can redeem your quick service (and snack) credits when you mobile order through the
My Disney Experience app? We like to do this to save time and also to more easily create meals that maximize our credits. Once you find a location that offers
mobile ordering, like
Woody’s Lunch Box, select your entrée and a drink to add to your cart. Once you do that, the app will pair those items into a quick-service meal (even though the drink is listed as a snack). Before checking out, you can decide if you want to use one of your meal credits or an alternative form of payment (it will also verify that you have done it correctly)! It is my little tip for maximizing your time throughout the day and navigating the dining plans even more easily. I hope you have an incredible trip (it sounds like you're already on your way to magical memories). If you need anything else, please come back and see us.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
