"Frozen" castle every evening starting Nov 5: this is the last night of our very first trip to Disney AND my son's birthday! What time does this happen? We have an ADR at Cali Grill that evening -- can we see the magic from there? Thanks!

    Hello Susan,

I am sure you are getting  super excited for your upcoming first trip to Walt Disney World! You have chosen a fantastic time to visit as the crowds will be lighter and the weather is typically quite mild. To top it off, celebrating your son's birthday will make it even more memorable.

Historically, the castle lights have been lit between 6:00 and 6:30pm. However, since this is a "newer" adaptation this year with Queen Elsa turning "Cinderella Castle into an ice palace every night", there could be slight variation on the starting time from years past. I would strongly suggest taking a look at a times guide for Magic Kingdom earlier that day to find out the exact time. You will be able to see Cinderella Castle from California Grill. However, parts of the "lighting ceremony" may not be visible and the sound may or may not be piped in, as it often is for Wishes nighttime spectacular (fireworks show).

I hope you have fantastic trip. It will be here before you can say "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!"
