Hello Maria Lourdes, welcome to planDisney!
I’m so happy to chat with a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member, I hope you are all set for your trip to
Walt Disney World Resort, happy arrival day!
It sounds like you’re making great use of your
Disney Vacation Club Membership and are taking advantage of the
benefits and offers that come along with it. My family loves ending a Walt Disney World Resort day (theme park or non-park day) by heading over to chill in the
Top of the World Lounge - A Villains Lair atop Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. It’s one of my favorite DVC Member perks! There’s something special about watching the fireworks from
Happily Ever After from a completely different point of view while still being able to enjoy the accompanying heart-swelling soundtrack that’s piped in so you don’t miss a thing.
I spoke with DVC
Member Services to inquire about parking when visiting the lounge and they said that the parking rule is the same as dining - a reservation is required to park at a resort. If you have a reservation for the Wicked Wind Down (this includes a cocktail, appetizer as well as dessert), you would let the parking attendant know and then park in the Bay Lake Tower parking lot (closest to the Magic Kingdom Park entrance). If you are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel and would like to drive, you can enjoy complimentary parking at the Transportation and Ticket Center and then take the monorail to Magic Kingdom and walk over (around a 10 minute walk) or hop on the resort monorail to Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
I hope you have a wonderful visit to a Villains Lair and enjoy the spectacular views from the 16th floor. If you’re looking for a dessert recommendation, I would try the Seven Lair cake - it’s delicious! I love grabbing a piece to go and eat it while enjoying the fireworks and seeing the
Electrical Water Pageant make its way across Seven Seas Lagoon.
Welcome Home,
Candace
