Do the Friendship boats in Epcot run between Mexico and Germany? Or has that route been stopped on a permenant basis?

    Hi Roxanne!
Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney and letting us be a part of your EPCOT planning adventure. How exciting!

The Friendship boats from Mexico and Germany are not currently in operation. However, during my most recent visit to EPCOT, the Friendship Boats were actively sailing across World Showcase Lagoon, offering a scenic and relaxing ride between Canada and Morocco. These boats are a wonderful way to give your feet a break while enjoying unique views of the park from the water!

The boats typically operate throughout the day (weather permitting), and each ride takes about 5–7 minutes. It’s a great shortcut if you're looking to get from one side of World Showcase to the other without the full walk.

While boat availability can vary, you can always check with a friendly Cast Member once you arrive to confirm if they’re running during your visit.

Also, Roxanne, the dock near Morocco provides a beautiful backdrop for photos, especially during the golden hour before sunset! Whether you're snapping selfies or taking in the atmosphere, it's a peaceful little part of the park that often feels less crowded.

Let me know if you'd like help mapping out a day full of EPCOT eats, attractions, and magical moments!

    Toodles,
