Since the Friendship Boats are closed due to the new Skyliner construction, how are guests suggested to get between EPCOT and Hollywood Studios if they don’t want to walk?

    Hi Conlan!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. My family and I enjoyed a fantastic Walt Disney World Resort vacation just last week where we stayed at Disney's Beach Club Resort! Since that hotel is located on Disney's BoardWalk, we took advantage of the complimentary water transportation in the area and took several trips on the FriendShip Boats as we traveled around Disney's BoardWalk.

Currently, there is construction around the International Gateway entrance to Epcot for the Disney Skyliner Gondola. However, you will find that the FriendShip Boats are still operating during the day! In order to accommodate this construction, FriendShip Boat service is ending at 9:30 p.m. nightly for construction activities for the next few weeks. During times when boat transportation is unavailable, bus transportation will be available from between Disney's Hollywood Studios, Epcot and the hotels around Disney's BoardWalk for Guests who are not interested in walking.

I recommend that you keep an eye on the complimentary water transportation webpage for updates about boat transportation availability, as well as the Disney Parks Blog for the latest announcements as you continue planning your trip. Let us know if you have additional questions as you continue planning. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
