Hello Lane!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I love going on solo getaways, and I am also planning one at the moment – don’t tell my family! The reason I enjoy these visits on my own is because I get to take my time to do all the things I really appreciate, but that sometimes are hard to do traveling with family. My crew has a very specific schedule, so we always observe meal times, nap times, bath times, snack times, etc. Traveling solo gives you more flexibility, and time to go through all shops on Mainstreet U.S.A. and Disney Springs. I also love to explore every single detail of World Showcase at Epcot.
I recommend staying at
Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and here are the reasons why:
- You will be practically inside Magic Kingdom Park, and with the monorail right inside the resort, you can get to Epcot in no time.
- You can also enjoy the other resorts along the monorail line. Pamper yourself at
Senses – A Disney Spa at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.
- Visit
Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to try my favorite drink: the Spikey Pineapple. Think about a Dolewhip with some extra island flavor in it.
- Make reservations for a room with Theme Park View, sit at the balcony, and have a nice cup of coffee while you watch the sunrise over Cinderella Castle. At night, don’t miss the spectacular fireworks from Happily Ever After all from your VIP location.
I hope this helps you while planning! Please come back and tell us how your solo visit was.
Best magical wishes,
Thiana
