Hey there, Raegina! We welcome you and all foolish mortals to planDisney. I'll be your ghost host for this hauntingly fantastic question. Your visit date is just around the corner, so let's not waste any more time and make sure you and your happy haunts are on your way.
I recently returned from a visit and was able to successfully join the
virtual queue for
Haunted Mansion Holiday. It was such a treat to experience this ride after it had not been available for so long. The first thing you will need to do is link your theme park tickets. To do this, open the
Disneyland app and tap the "☰" to open the menu. Next, tap the "My Tickets & Passes" tile, followed by the "+" in the upper right corner. Tap "Link Tickets & Passes" and manually type in each ticket ID number or use the "Camera" feature to quickly scan the barcode of everyone's ticket.
Now that all of your tickets are linked in the app, you will be able to select everyone in your party when requesting to join the virtual queue. If you have a theme park reservation for Disneyland Park, you can request to join the virtual queue at 7:00 a.m. and you do not have to be scanned into the park to do this. I did this from my hotel room during my stay and it was easy peasy. If you don't have a reservation for Disneyland Park and are starting your day at Disney California Adventure Park, no worries! There will be another opportunity to join the virtual queue at 12:00 p.m. To join at this time, everyone will need to have entered a theme park (and scanned their ticket) beforehand to be eligible.
I always look forward to seeing Jack Skellington and friends during the spooky season. It is always fun to see how they've wrecked the halls and I always look forward to seeing what spooktacular gingerbread creation awaits me in the ballroom scene.
Raegina, I hope this helps you and your friends prepare for your visit. I'll be sending you all the pixie dust in the hopes that everything goes smoothly and you and your friends will be dragged through the mansion in your doom buggies. Here's wishing you a magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
