Welcome to planDisney, Laura! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today.
I totally get wanting to keep the fun going late into the night, and the
Contemporary is such a great pick for your friends on their trip! That said,
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours are exclusively for guests who are actively staying at a
Disney Deluxe Resort or
Deluxe Villa Resort on that specific night. Eligibility is tied to your hotel stay, not your ticket type or other guests linked to you in
My Disney Experience, so even with a 4-day
Park Hopper, you wouldn't be able to participate unless you are also checked in at a Deluxe Resort that night. Being with friends or family who are Deluxe guests doesn't extend the perk, unfortunately.
What you can do is enjoy the park together right up to regular closing. Once Extended Evening Hours begin, Cast Members verify eligibility at each attraction entrance using your
MagicBand,
MagicMobile, or ticket, and each individual guest must be linked to a Deluxe reservation for that night. If joining them for the late-night fun is a must, consider a stay at a Deluxe Resort for that one evening! Even if you stay with your friends in the same room and you're checked in on the night of Extended Evening Hours, you'll be eligible too.
Here's a bonus tip: if you are staying at any
Disney Resort Hotel, even if it's not a Deluxe resort, you'll still get Early Theme Park Entry 30 minutes before regular opening, which is a great way to tackle headliners earlier in the day. You can enjoy the fun all day together and then say goodbye when the park closes!
I hope this answers your question, Laura, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
