Hello! We have some friends who are unable to go on the cruise with us. For part of their gift, we would love to bring them snacks so they felt they were there. Are we allowed to take food off the boat once we reach home port? Not islands, just home.

    Hi there, Lindsey!

What I would give to be “part of your world” with an upcoming voyage on Disney Cruise Line! In a few days, you are going to be boarding the Disney Dream for The Bahamas. No need to go “under the sea” when visiting Castaway Cay. Disney’s private island will be your tropical playground!

I love that you want to include your friends who weren’t able to set sail with you in the MAGIC of a Disney cruise by bringing them some “whozits and whatzits galore.” However, as tempting as it might be, you can’t take food from onboard with you or you would have a very big problem clearing customs at the port. Instead, you could choose to purchase some pre-packaged snacks or treats in the gift shops onboard for your pals back home, and that would make for a WONDERful surprise.

Another idea to share your FANTAStic memories with them is to take lots of photos and videos during your voyage. That will truly give them a sense of all that’s included when sailing with Captain Minnie. Then perhaps next time, you can all hoist the mainsail together!

Lindsey, don’t search for a dinglehopper to send more questions to planDisney. Simply grab your computer and go! Wishing you a magical and memorable adventure at sea.

    Have a DREAMy cruise!
