Hi friends! I am going to surprise my niece and nephew by joining them and their parents on a vacation next summer. Any tips or ideas for the big reveal? We'll all be staying at the Polynesian, but I'll have my own room.

Hello Megan and thanks for bringing such a fun question to us here at planDisney!

Your question really chimed with me because similarly to you, my dear brother and sister-in-law actually surprised me and my family by joining us on vacation at Walt Disney World Resort!  They secretly planned the whole escapade without us having a single clue, and oh my what a joyous and unforgettable moment their surprise was!

As I absolutely love the idea of you surprising your lovely niece, nephew and their dear parents this summer at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, I'm more than happy to share how my families reveal came about.  Because I'm such an avid planner (no surprise there!) I unknowingly made it super easy for my brother and sister-in-law to arrange their magical moment - because all they had to do was check our vacation schedule!

Literally all you have to do in order to create your very own special reveal at Walt Disney World Resort is to casually ask about vacation plans.  For instance my brother saw on our schedule that we'd arranged to spend some time relaxing by our Resort pool, so they discreetly hung out poolside until they spotted us.  And the ta-dah moment came as such a surprise as they were truly the last folks we expected to see!

Another fun part to our trip was enabled by super helpful Cast Members at Front Desk Services who were able to facilitate my brother and sister-in-law with a room close by to ours.  These same lovely Cast Members took the time to chat with us every day of our stay and of course were keen to know if the poolside surprise went with the anticipated splash of magic!

I would suggest calling the Front Desk at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort around 24 hours prior to Check-in to enquire about room allocation.  However, please remember that although Cast Members are always more than willing to assist Guests wherever possible - specific rooms allocations can never be guaranteed. The telephone number for Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is contained within this link; be sure to have your reservation number to hand prior to calling.

There are lots of ways to help Plan towards a great big beautiful tomorrow at Walt Disney World Resort and another of my personal favourites is found with a little assistance from Disney Floral & Gifts who could perhaps arrange for a magical Balloon Bouquet as part of your reveal.

Lastly, as you're enjoying your summer vacation at Walt Disney World Resort with your niece, nephew and their parents be sure to capture all those precious moments by purchasing Memory Maker which includes all Disney PhotoPass Service pictures and videos for your whole family to enjoy.

I'm confident that whatever is finally decided upon your entire family are sure to enjoy the most magic filled stay at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and have so much fun exploring the most magical place on earth all together.

Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
