Hiya, Melissa, and welcome to planDisney!
There's nothing quite like a relaxing Resort day in the middle of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. My family recently embraced the tradition of spending a day enjoying all that our
Disney Resort hotel has to offer, and it has been such a welcome addition to our magical vacations. A day spent sleeping in, enjoying Mickey waffles, and lounging by the pool always leaves us refreshed and ready for several more days of theme parks from rope drop to fireworks.
Because The Most Magical Place on Earth is made even more magical when experienced with your favorite people, your friends are welcome to join you as you explore and enjoy the incredible theming, dining, and public areas of your Disney Resort hotel, but unfortunately, the use of pools is a privilege reserved excluding for registered Resort hotel Guests. While this policy exists to ensure that Guests are able to enjoy the amenities of their Disney Resort hotel (my pal Prince gave a wonderful explanation
here), I suggest speaking to a Cast Member at the front desk of your hotel about your specific circumstances for the most up-to-date information.
Of course, there is one exception to the Disney Resort hotel pool policy I previously mentioned. Guests of Disney's Port Orleans Resorts have access to the
pools at both
Port Orleans - French Quarter and
Port Orleans - Riverside, so if your pals are Guests who also happen to be your magical neighbors, then you're free to make a collective splash!
While I'm sure this isn't the answer you were hoping to receive, Melissa, I hope the information was helpful for you as you plan. If you have any additional questions about your upcoming vacation, feel free to
stop back by. I'm always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
