My friends and I have Resort and Ticket packages for December. Is there a way to link our tickets together with our QR codes to create a Party for Boarding Groups or do we have to wait until we get our ePackages?

    Hello, Patricia!

It sounds like you’re preparing for a fun vacation at the Disneyland Resort this holiday season. There’s something extra magical about visiting the Happiest Place on Earth when it’s also the merriest place! I just love the holiday-themed decor, attractions, food and entertainment.

I’m glad you’re planning ahead so you can all enjoy the resort’s most popular attractions as a group. Be sure all your theme park tickets are linked in advance so you’ll be able to join a virtual queue boarding group once your vacation begins. In the Disneyland mobile app, tap on the icon that looks like three horizontal lines to reach the main menu. Tap "Tickets and Passes" and then the “+” symbol. Tap “Link Tickets & Passes” and scan the barcode for each person’s ticket with your smartphone camera or enter the ticket ID numbers manually. One of you can do this for everyone’s tickets in order to add your group to the virtual queue, or you can all add each other’s tickets so anyone can create your boarding group.

To join the virtual queue for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance or WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, you’ll need the Disneyland mobile app, so be sure to download it before your trip. The first distribution time for virtual queue enrollment is at 7:00 a.m. on the day of your theme park visit, but you don’t have to be inside your starting theme park to enter the queue. Using the app, you can access the system and check for an available boarding group before you even leave your hotel room! There is another chance to join the virtual queue at 12:00 p.m. for Guests who plan to park hop after 1:00 p.m. or weren’t able to join a boarding group in the morning. However, keep in mind that you can only join the virtual queue for each available attraction once a day so that as many Guests as possible can have a chance to ride.

I hope this helps you plan, and that you all have a wonderful vacation. Please feel free to swing by planDisney again if you have more questions as your planning continues!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
