Welcome to planDisney, Abhinav! It sounds like we've got a lot in common because I also do everything possible to squeeze as much magic as possible into my time at Walt Disney World Resort. Your plan is exactly what I'd do: start stacking
Lightning Lane selections using
Disney Genie+ service as soon as they're available so I can enjoy a great evening in Theme Parks. I'm happy to chat with you about strategy and what I would do if I were planning your day myself!
At
Disney's Hollywood Studios, you should prioritize getting Lightning Lane return times for
Slinky Dog Dash,
Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, and
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. You can begin making Lightning Lane selections at 7 a.m., even if you're not in Florida yet! You should start making bookings as early as possible for two reasons. Firstly, these attractions fill up pretty quickly and, secondly, the earlier you make your selection, the earlier you'll be able to make the next ones. If you're stacking up your Lightning Lanes for later in the day, you'll be able to make selections every two hours and that window begins when the Theme Park opens. Since Disney's Hollywood Studios opens at 8:30 a.m. this Thursday, you will be able to make your first Lightning Lane selection at 7:00 a.m., your second one at 10:30 a.m., followed by a third at 12:30 p.m.
I also recommend purchasing an Individual Lightning Lane selection for
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. If you're a guest at a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you will be able to make this purchase at 7:00 a.m., even if you haven't checked in yet. If you're staying somewhere off Disney property, that purchasing window opens with the Theme Park at 8:30 a.m. Individual Lightning Lane return times may be sold out by the time Disney's Hollywood Studios opens, so it's a good idea to check as soon as possible to see if you can get some.
I hope this answers your question, Abhinav, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
