My friends and I are planning a trip to DisneyLand in May, the 25 and 26. When I went to Disney world last October I was able to sync with my friends account to plan group reservations and manage genie+ passes. How can I do that on Disneyland app?

A warm welcome from us at planDisney to you, Alaina. We're so glad you're here and asked us this question. I love a Disney day with friends and I'm delighted to help make sure you all stick together.

Grab your moving buddies, all you need to do is link your tickets in the Disneyland app to stick together throughout the day. Tap on the three horizontal lines at the bottom right and then tap the "Tickets and Passes" tile. Next, you will tap on the "+" in the top right corner and then "Link Tickets & Passes." If you're all in person, the easiest way to link tickets (in my opinion) is to use the "Camera" to scan the barcode. You can also type in the ticket ID number.

That's all there is to it. Now you're ready to make Lightning Lane selections for the entire group to ensure you all secure the same arrival window. A quick tip: making your first Lightning Lane selection is a little different from how you would at Walt Disney World Resort. You must first be scanned into the park in order to make your first Lightning Lane selection at the Disneyland Resort.

And don't forget, with Disney Genie+ Service, not only can you summon Genie for Lightning Lane selections, but you also get unlimited Disney PhotoPass Digital Downloads from the day. Make sure to capture those magical moments with your friends throughout the day. In addition to snapping a photo in front of the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle, I also love getting a photo in front of Radiator Springs Racers in Disney California Adventure Park at sunset. The colors are amazing!

If it's your first visit to the Disneyland Resort, make sure to stop by City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park (or Chamber of Commerce on Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure Park) for a complimentary "1st Visit!" button. These are a great way to commemorate your visit and also make a great little keepsake. And make sure to make time to ride Alice in Wonderland in Fantasyland. This attraction is unique to Disneyland Park and a must-do. I just adore the nostalgia and whimsy of this ride.

Alaina, I hope this is helpful as you plan your best Disney day with your friends. If you think of other questions or are looking for recommendations, please come back and see us - even ask me directly. Until then, I wish you happy planning and a most magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth.

    See ya real soon!
