We have friends that live nearby WDW, am I correct in thinking that they are not allowed to visit us at our resort to dine in our Villa? Thank you! Kayla

Hey there, Kayla! Welcome back to planDisney! How fun that you will soon be visiting Walt Disney World for a stay at one of the incredible Disney Resort Hotels! If I had friends that lived in the Orlando area, I would certainly want to share some time with them whenever it felt safe to do so. It even sounds like you will have an extra-roomy Villa awaiting you at your home away from home!

I checked with Guest Services regarding your question, and they let me know that it likely will be possible for your friends to visit you, but it will be at the discretion of the Security personnel at the Resort Hotel. They also told me that the best way to make this as seamless as possible would be for you to provide your guests with your hotel reservation number so that they can share this upon arrival. As you can probably imagine, Walt Disney World is practicing enhanced social distancing measures on all Resort Hotel grounds. Also, please know that outside visitors cannot use the Resort Hotel amenities such as swimming pools. However, a dinner in your Villa sounds positively heavenly, and I hope that this works out for you! As an alternate option, you may consider a dining reservation for yourself and your friends at one of the Restaurants within your Resort Hotel! The Experience Updates resorts pages will allow you to see exactly which Restaurants are currently operational.

Kayla, I hope this information is helpful to you and your loved ones. Please know that if you have any other questions that come up, we are here for you whenever you’d like to come back to see us!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Clara
