Well hi there Lisa, I'd like to wish you a very warm Canadian welcome to planDisney!
I recently got married at Walt Disney World Resort myself and we invited some of our closest family from all over the world and especially Canada, who all wondered what to give us as wedding gifts as well! (We actually told them that just their presence would be the best present, but so many of them wanted to give us something either way.)
Considering the
cost involved with tying the knot at the Most Magical Place on Earth and just how much the happy couple will actually be able to take with them back home, deciding on a suitable present can be tricky. So on behalf of all of the DisBrides, DisGrooms and any
Disney Fairy Tale Wedding couples getting married this year, here are a few of my best Disney wedding gift ideas:
- By far one of the greatest and easiest things you could give is a Disney Gift Card, especially for international couples who won't have to worry about foreign transaction fees. For our wedding there was even a "Happily Ever After" option available that came with a personalized card and envelope, and it was really nice to be able to enjoy the Theme Parks feeling like we didn't have to use any more of our own money for the rest of our stay!
- If there's something we really appreciated after a whirlwind wedding week, it was a day to unwind at The Grand Floridian Spa. While offerings are currently available to book online you should definitely contact them directly to let them know you're purchasing a treatment as a gift.
I've even heard of family and friends conspiring with Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons team to help pay for secret character appearances at their reception; but whatever you end up deciding I'm sure they'll appreciate the thought and research you've put into it.
Here's to their Happily Ever After!
