Hi friends! My friend purchased a one day ticket to Disneyland. We've now decided we want to attend Oogie Boogie Bash instead. Can she use the funds already paid for the unused Disney park ticket towards a ticket for Oogie instead?

A warm planDisney welcome to you, Alexandra. We're so glad you found us to ask this question.

I'm so excited to hear the ghoulishly good news that you and your friend are thinking about attending Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party. We have the dates for ticket sales and they are just around the corner - in just a few days as a matter of fact. I chatted with a friendly Cast Member who shared that, unfortunately, the value of a wholly unused theme park ticket cannot be applied toward the purchase of a special event ticket.

The good news is that Disneyland Resort theme park tickets have a lot of flexibility built into them. You can add another day to your visit to use this ticket or save it for another day in the future when you might need a little magic. Even if you aren't able to use your ticket before its expiration date, you can apply the value of the wholly unused ticket toward the purchase of a new ticket (excluding special event tickets) at the current price as long as the cost of the new ticket is greater than or equal to the amount paid for the original ticket (subject to change).

Oogie Boogie Bash is a popular event at the resort and tickets have sold out fairly quickly in the past couple of years. To be prepared, I always have my dates picked out beforehand and my payment ready to go. It's also helpful to be logged into your MyDisney account ahead of time. Always enter the queue with a little extra patience and let your fast fingers do the rest!

Alexandra, while this is probably not the answer you were looking for, I hope the information is still helpful and gives you some options for your 1-day theme park ticket. Here's hoping that everything goes smoothly this week and we see you at the bash!
