Hiya, Teresa,
Yay! An outing to the Disneyland Resort with friends sounds fun. I hope there is an opportunity to make it work out.
As you are aware, each Guest visiting the Disneyland Resort theme parks must have both valid
theme park admission and a
theme park reservation. As the number of
theme park reservations is limited, there can be days when no theme park reservation availability remains. If this should be the case, my recommendation is to keep checking back regularly. Other Guests often need to change their plans. When they cancel or modify their park reservations, it may open up an opportunity for you. It’s worth checking even on the same day you wish to visit.
Tony’s Tip: There have been times when some friends and I have wanted to meet up at the Disneyland Resort but some of us didn’t have theme park tickets. Fortunately, no park reservations are required for Guests to visit and enjoy the Downtown Disney District. We have always enjoyed our outings visiting the shops and restaurants there. And I often like to pop into the Disneyland Resort Hotels too. You never know if you might see a character or two there as well!
Speaking of the Disneyland Resort Hotels, if you happen to be staying at one of the three on-site hotels, you should also try booking theme park reservations through your "My Hotel Reservations" page. That opens up access to theme park reservations exclusively for hotel Guests. You might find additional availability by going that route as well. This even applies if you are
Magic Key holders.
I’m wishing on a star that things work out for you and your friends, Teresa. Thanks for visiting us at planDisney.
