Hi Friends! Which dining room would you recommend for a couple celebrating their anniversary. I know it's not guaranteed, but just wondering what to request. Merci beaucoup!

Bonjour, Allie! It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you to planDisney. And now, we invite you to relax, pull up a chair, as I proudly present: the best anniversary options.

You don't mention a specific restaurant in your question, so I'm very happy to give you some of my favorite romantic options at the Walt Disney World Resort, and even some suggestions for requests. Just note that any requests, as you stated, are not guaranteed. If Cast Members can honor your request, you may have to wait a bit longer for your table. But as any enchanted host might remind us, a truly memorable meal is about more than the timing. It's about the atmosphere, the company, and letting the evening become something a little magical.

So let’s begin our own little tale as old as time:

    • California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort is the first one that comes to mind. The food is top-notch, and so is the service. Plus, if you can get a time around the fireworks, you can step out onto their balcony for a unique view of the nighttime spectacular at Magic Kingdom Park. While you can request a fireworks view, just note that this is a very popular request.
    • Jiko - The Cooking Place at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is a beautiful signature restaurant with some unique options. And if they're serving the Giraffe Bread, which they usually are, savor it. It's literally the best bread I've ever put in my mouth. No matter where you sit, you'll be able to enjoy how the lighting so softly shifts throughout the evening. But there's something extra romantic about sitting by the windows, with a view of the water features gently streaming outside.
    • Narcoossee's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is right on the water of Seven Seas Lagoon. If you like seafood, this spot is it! Plus, you can step out onto their balcony for the fireworks or request a window view.
    • If you want an upscale French vibe, don't skip Monsieur Paul. While I haven't dined here yet, it's a bucket-list item, and there are some tables near the window where you may get a view of the fireworks. Just note that they do not currently pipe in the music for the show at this location.
If applicable, it's often suggested that you make your advanced dining reservation about 60 to 90 minutes before the scheduled fireworks show so that you're well into your meal when the fireworks begin! That way, your evening can build naturally to a truly magical finale.

Now, if you’re ready for an experience as grand as it is unforgettable, Victoria & Albert’s at the Grand Floridian is an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime experience that is just hard to put into words. It really isn't just a restaurant. It's an experience. My husband and I will be talking about it for years to come. The food, the service, the atmosphere…there's a reason it is renowned. We dined in the main Dining Room, but there is also the intimate Queen Victoria Room, and an exclusive Chef's Table if you want to be in the middle of the action.

Wishing you an anniversary filled with unforgettable moments, a little enchantment, and a celebration that feels like your very own happily ever after. Please reach out again, and I'd be happy to help you be our guest!

    Au revoir,
    Matt
