Hi Christopher,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for coming to us with your question. You're asking about something my family has done many times – we usually road trip to Walt Disney World and love to jump into the resort pool after many long hours in the car waiting to drive under that magical “Where Dreams Come True” sign!
Although check-in time is at 3:00 p.m., Guests are welcome to check in early. If your room isn’t ready yet, you’ll be able to leave your bags with Bell Services and head straight to the pool (or the theme parks, or Disney Springs). If you do
online check-in, you even have the option to skip the front desk entirely and sign up to receive a text message when your room is ready (just make sure you have your Magic Bands with you, as they act as your room key). Once you hear your room is ready, you can either head over to Bell Services and pick up your own bags, or head to your room and call Bell Services from your room phone and they will deliver the bags to your room when they have a chance (be sure to have some cash on hand to tip them for their friendly service).
I hope you and your friends enjoy
Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, Christopher! If you’re headed to the Calypso Pool, be sure to check out Singing Spirits Pool Bar for a delicious Piña CoLAVA or some refreshing watermelon lemonade. Also, head’s up that the Intermission Food Court has
ahhh-mazing milkshakes in addition to great meal and snack foods.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
