How ya doin', Emily, and welcome to planDisney!
We love an adventure among pals to The Most Magical Place on Earth. My friends and I have been traveling together for years, as I've made it my mission to make them as Disney Parks-obsessed as me. One of my friends has specs similar to your friend's, and I'm happy to share what we learned from our time hitting those Disney streets.
While there don't appear to be weight limits on attractions at The Walt Disney World Resort, there were a select few rides that I specifically recall having to troubleshoot a bit.
Avatar Flight of Passage has a motorcycle-style seat that requires Guests to sit with their chest up against a rest with restraints that close around the back and calves. Depending on how a person's weight is distributed, they may or may not be able to ride if these restraints can't safely close. While he hasn't back with me since the opening of
TRON Lightcycle/Run, those have the same kind of seat and may pose the same challenges. But luckily, with this particular attraction, there is a more traditional seat available for Guests to still enjoy it if the other seats just don't work out. And
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train has a sort of bucket-style seat that is a bit of a squeeze for those of us with a little more thigh or Guests with longer legs. Otherwise, my thrill-seeking sidekick dropped in with other Guests on
Tower of Terror, splashed into
Tiana's Bayou Adventure back when it was Splash Mountain, and rode all my classic dark rides like
Peter Pan's Flight, and
"it's a small world" just fine with me.
Pro-tip: Both bicycle/motorcycle style rides have tester seats available so your friend can test them for comfort before waiting in the queue.
Emily, to quote a classic Disney favorite, Pete's Dragon, there's room for everyone in this world if everyone makes some room. The Most Magical Place on Earth, better get ready because I'm just sure y'all are going to take it by storm with lots of laughs and love. If you have any other questions, please feel free to
come back for another chat.
Happy planning!
