My friend wants to bring her sons family on a trip. We are planning on getting a family suite at AoA. Her sons family wants to plan their day, so do they need their own MDE account and get their own genie plus even if we are on one reservation?

    Hiya Rheymann!

Welcome back again to planDisney! The family suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort are just so much fun! I love the theming and the fact that there are two full bathrooms. The walk-in shower is perfect for my tired knees at the end of a long Park day and that grub chair in the Lion King Family Suites always makes me giggle. I hope you guys have as much fun as I did when I last stayed there. The zero-entry Big Blue Pool is a family favorite and perfect for the whole family.

My best advice for large parties with many adults is to have several of them create a free My Disney Experience Account and link up together on the Family & Friends List. This way they can make dining plans, secure Lightning Lanes with Genie+, or even join a Virtual Queue on their own or with the whole group! All guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel have to be listed on the reservation so once they are linked to the reservation and have a ticket assigned to their account they can have all the benefits that guests staying onsite enjoy. An example of that is being able to book dining reservations 60 days before their arrival plus 10 days into their trip. I also love Early Theme Park Entry which lets Disney Resort guests enter the Parks an extra 30 minutes earlier than everyone else. On my last trip, I loved being able to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at 7 AM which is a benefit for only guests staying onsite. I had my choice of time and was able to book it for myself and my friends all at once as we were all linked together on the Family & Friends List. However, my son did not want to join in on the fun of that ride as it was a bit too intense for him. I was able to "unselect" during the purchasing process and only paid for the guests who would join me. There is a lot of flexibility if you make your own My Disney Experience Account and link up. It's always the right decision and when using the My Disney Experience Mobile App you will find it makes your trip planning something that everyone can join in on.

I do hope this helps and if you have any more questions please free to let me know!

    Happy Planning!
